Pet peeve: Aidan is a boy's name with very old roots (5th century Irish saint). It is not a girl's name, no matter how it is misspelled.
Twin / sibling names that are also anagrams are subtle enough that they wouldn't look too contrived / cutesy. As long as you really love both names and aren't stretching, I don't see a problem. I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure others will come up with some great examples.
