loo-CUHZ-ta, mainly because I knew a girl named Lucasta who pronounced it like that. She hated her name and always went by Lu.

Hmm I've never heard it that way before.

The middle part is hard to explain. Kind of sounded like the word "cuss" with a Z instead of an S sound at the end. She was from Germany. It's fine for honoring, the meaning is lovely. Just not my style really.
