[Opinions] Alyssia
What do you think of Alyssia? I like Alicia (three syllable pr.) but think people will always pronounce it ah-LEE-sha which I dislike. Norah suggested Alyssia and I really like it.Will it always be misspelled? Does it look too similar to Alyssa? Opinions?Which spelling is better for the three syllable pronunciation? Alicia or Alyssia? For some reason Alyssia seems less dated and more attractive to me.

I really like Alyssia, actually. I don't like the look of Alicia, although I do like the sound. Alyssia is much more attractive.Alyssia looks like a cross between Alyssa and Elysia to me. Because of the Alyssa similarity, it looks like al-ISS-ee-uh more than al-EE-see-uh, but if I was corrected on it once I think I'd remember. If I wanted to avoid that I might spell it Alysia to make it look a bit more like Elysia and emphasize that the y is an EE, not an IH.

Yeah... It does look like someone just stuck an i innto Alyssa. Feels kinda weird. Even if one's always having to correct people's prn. of it, Alicia still looks better.

I don't like the way it looks - I think it's the Y that makes it look trendy to me.I like Alicia, and I say it the say as Alyssia would be, but I agree that some people would say it like Alisha.

I much prefer Alicia, but then at least in English I'm inclined to pronounce them differently. Alicia would be "Aleesha" to me. Alyssia looks sort of fussy and kr8tiv to me.
