WDYT of Anne? Kind of fell in love with its simplicity. I used to like Ann for a long time too. Which do you prefer and why?
Do you get different colors or images for Ann and Anne? Do you think it's boring? How many do you know?

One of my very favorites. I also love how lovely and simple it is. I don't like the spelling Ann. It doesn't look as attractive, it looks incomplete, and then it doesn't have the Anne of Green Gables association. What I also love about Anne are tha Nan- nicknames. I love the endearment of them. Annemarie nn Nan (/Nancy/Nany/Nanw) is way up there on our list to use.
Ann just feels colder and less intelligent than Anne. Anne has a little more sunshine to it.
Hmm, I don't know a ton of Ann(e)s. I went to school with a few Annes and an Ann, but can't think of any others.

I prefer Anne to Ann. Anne is already a simple, no-nonsense name and it wouldn't hurt to add some flair. Image-wise, Ann is much darker than Anne. Anne also seems friendlier and more approachable.
I only know one Ann / Anne - my aunt. While it's a nice name, I don't think I would use it for the reason you mentioned: I think it's quite bland. It's too straightforward with no interesting sounds or letter combinations, and the images I get aren't too exciting.

I like them both, but Ann is less common, so I lean towards it. They're both yellow for me: Anne is a fairly bright marigold colour, and Ann is a pretty pale yellow.
I don't think it's boring at all, because I don't hear it very often. I know two Annes (26 and 40), two Anns (55 and 70-ish) and one Annie (27).

I like it, its rather sweet. Then there is the added benefit of being able to use pretty much any middle name imaginable.
I prefer Anne, its feminine and elegant. Ann is so bland and looks like it's missing something.
I know one Anne, one Annie and innumerable women with Ann(e) in the middle.
