WDYTO Otis? It has grown on me a little...I also like how it is connected to Otto which is a family name.

Otis screams "Redneck!" to me. Otto is much better.

I have always thought of the pug dog named Otis in the movie Milo and Otis tbh! That's not to say I don't like it on a person though, because I do now as it has grown on me too. If Otto is a family name for you, then I'd definitely consider Otis, which I find to be a nicer name.

Actually, I think I prefer Otto. Otis reminds me of elevators and the puppy from Milo & Otis.

Milo and OtisThat's the biggest association I have with it, and I think a lot of people will. Otis is also a company that makes elevators. Like every elevator I've ever been in says Otis in it somewhere.Anyway, I just have not been able to find the appeal of Otis. I'm usually for awkward old guy-ish names, but Otis is not one of them. And it's interesting because it seems to be getting more common. I have a good friend with a 2-year-old Otis and I've encountered at least 2 other boys named Otis under the age of 3.

I have never met one. It hasn't made the top 1000 for several decades but I do think it could easily get more common.

I prefer Otis over Otto for sound. For me, Otis feels warmer/friendlier while Otto feels more formal/dignified. I think they are both fine names.

Otis SpunkmeyerI'm not the biggest fan of his muffins, although I haven't had them in a few years so maybe I'm not remembering correctly. Also, Otis Redding. :)

I like Otis. It's so friendly sounding. I like Otto too, which is also friendly, but in a different kind of way.
