I pronounce it the same way as others have said, summer-led. I'd never noticed the Some Are Led thing before, but probably because I really like the name and don't emphasise any particular syllable when I say it. It's a name to me, not a phrase.

Like the others, I say summer-led.I like it, I think it sounds very noble and romantic. I often use it for characters in games. :)

And others follow? So, it's like Some Are Led?And this is appealing because? (I am curious, not just being ornery).

Lol, punny name!

HeheI like it because of the imagery it brings to mind...traveling, adventuring, following the warm weather. I think more of a bard than a noble quest, but that works too. :)

Agreed"Summer" is what comes to my mind, not "some are." To each his own of course.

LOL yeah.I didn't notice that. I just thought it sounded romantic. Has the sounds of Summer, Merle and Ed in it. It's not very manly IMO. But the RL sound in Somerled stands out more to me, than it would in "some are led"Now I'm trying to think of a pun combo..
Somerled Indigo Arya Putnam ...=P

It's appealing because it's a name, not a sentence

Don't worry--I like more names than ever before! Somerled is one I'm trying to wrap my mind around, I've never known or heard of anyone with this name....

I don't know anyone with it either, and it's not my favorite. I just think people like it because it makes them think of climbing over hills 700 years ago with some noble goal in mind. Some-are-led isn't really a part of it.

lolNever noticed that about it before.

I also pronounce it like 'summer' + 'led'

I've always said it just how it looks, SOM-er-led (although som sounds close to sum I guess). Such a great name.

I pronounce it like the words "summer" and "led" combined.
