[Opinions] Re: Persephone

Oh, cold, sad Persephone, dread and grim in her dark-walled home.
Hmmm. It's hard for me to think of Persephone without preceding it with "The Rape of...", and despite reading the efforts of multiple authors to re-tell Persephone's story so that she comes out all badass and empowered, her myth remains a very negative assocation for me. Even if I ignore that, Persephone is too fussy for my tastes. I just really dislike it, all around, I guess. If I liked the mythical figure, I'd be more likely to opt for the simpler Korë or for Proserpine or Proserpina, both of which are fun to say.
I like Ottilie quite a bit, though.
