WDYTO Bram? I've been really loving it lately. The combos I've come up with are Bram Erik and Bram Alban - which do you like better? Also, how does it go in a sibset with Johannes Ludwig, Franz Anselm, and Sven Olof? Is it just me, or does it clash with Johannes?

I love Bram. I really like Bram Erik. Bram Alban works, but Bram Erik has a smoother flow.

Bram works well with Johannes Ludwig, Franz Anselm, and Sven Olof. I don't think that Bram clashes with Johannes. Three of the names are one syllable as opposed to being three syllables like Johannes, but that doesn't seem problematic to me. They have a similar feel.

I love Bram. I kinda like it better as a nickname for Abram or Abraham better than as a standalone name, but I go back and forth. Bram Alban is nice, but the flow is a little off. I don't feel like Bram clashes with Johannes.

Based on your questions, I'm thinking you pronounce "BRAHM" rather than "BRAM" (like "ham"). I enjoy both sounds, but prefer the latter. "BRAHM" does make me think of Johannes Brahms, but "BRAM" doesn't. For both pronunciations, I prefer the combination of Bram Erik, it's quite handsome. If I really loved the names, I wouldn't let the similarity to Brahms stop me from using both. Franz Anselm is dashing! :)

I'm actually pronouncing it to rhyme with "ham" - the other way would be way too close to Brahms for me!

Oh, my mistake. I thought the Brahms thing was why you thought it wouldn't work with Johannes, as if you gave half of an honoring name to each kid. I don't see Bram clashing with Johannes in any way, pronouncing it like you do. Name your boys...then go buy stock in the company that provides your telephone service because the girls will be calling. :)

REally like Bram. I prefer Alban to Erik, but as a combo I think Bram Erik works best.

Doesn't work with Johannes well, saying them together makes me want to say Brahms in stead.

Oooo, Bram! So handsome and earthy. I love Bram. Especially as a middle name. Both your combos are nice, but I prefer Bram Erik as Bram Alban has a number of repeated sounds.

Johannes, Sven, and Bram. Hm. That sounds like a fine sibset to me.
