[Facts] Pacht (German) + Paktin (Norse)
Meaning? Are they from "Pake" the Old Friesian word for grandfather?Pake a short from of Paken, from the Old English Pacan?"Paecc/ Paecci/ Paecca" are postulated, but I cannot find these?Any thoughts welcome...

What is Pacht meant to be? A given name? A family name? Where did you find it, and how old is it supposed to be?I can say with some certainty that there is no German given name Pacht currently in use. As another poster already said, Pacht is a German common word ("lease", "rent"), and an identical given name would be very, very unusual anyway.

I don't know if this is the right meaning of the name, but Pacht is a normal german word. I think the english word for Pacht is rent.
