[Opinions] Camille or Camilla?
Which do you prefer?

Camilla. I don't enjoy unisex names in general, and this one sounds disconcertingly like the Afrikaans for 'camel'.
Pity about Prince Charles's missus.

I prefer Camille all the way around. While I also prefer the French pronunciation (kah-MEE), I realize it wouldn't be pronounced that way where I'm from so I was thinking I could let everyone pronounce her full name kah-MEAL and let her nn be Cami (kah-MEE). That way I'd still be able to pronounce it the way I liked and it's not that much different from Demi (Moore). IOW, it shouldn't be that confusing to pick up on.

Camille. I am very fond of the name.
Camille
Especially when it's pronounced ka-MEE.

Sound-wise, and on paper, I prefer Camilla but the only association I have to the name is Prince Charles' consort. (I'm not British, but I've always thought it would be a real shame should she ever be granted title as Queen.) On the other hand, I knew a Camille who is a lovely person inside and out, so I have a positive impression of that name. If I *had* to pick one to use, I suppose it would be Camille.
