I'm not particularly fond of it, mostly because, once you get all the way back through the meanings for Charles and such it just means "man". So with Charlotte or Carla it would kind of be naming your daughter "man-girl". So it bugs me. But I'm so much of a meaning freak that I've cut out half my favorite names for meaning's sake.
And I've had a bad experience with a Carla, so... _________________________________________________
