I have my doubts that it means new moon. I'm not seeing moon anywhere in there. Wasn't the Greek word for moon Selene?
When I first saw this I thought "Neo Ma?" like like a Neo-Nazi or Neo-Conservative or something.
I guess you could call her Nina, Nee-Nee, Nomi?
