[Opinions] Rebecka
What do you think of the name Rebecka? Suggestions for appropriate middle names?

I find it unexciting and overused... and the meanings of "tied" or "snare" give it even less appeal... and if one must use it, Rebecka feels weird and would constantly be mispelled... Rebekah and Rebecca are pretty standard and possibly more considerate for the child to be lumped with.

For a long time, Rebecca was one of my favorites for a girl.Mostly because I've never seen Rebecka before, I'm sure, I don't particularly care for it. I suppose if it were the version I had seen all my life I would feel differently. But make it plain old Rebecca for me.

I don't like Rebecka or her relatives Rebecca, Rebekka and Rebekah. There is something in those names that bugs me. Probably it's the Rebe-part. Louise or Louisa could work as a middle name - their elegance balances the Rebe.

That's not my favorite spelling. I prefer Rebekah. Rebecka Naomi
Rebecka Natalie
Rebecka Charlotte
Rebecka Lily
Rebecka HarperLike any?

I've always loved Rebecca, but definitely prefer that spelling to Rebecka. This site says that Rebecka is a Swedish variant of Rebecca, so I guess it stands to reason that I'd prefer the spelling that is most common in my country. I've seen the spelling Rebekah, which is okay, but of all of them I still prefer Rebecca.Rebecca was the first name I had picked out for a daughter, until I decided that I liked Victoria more. There was a good chance that if I'd had a second daughter, her name would have been Rebecca. But one strong strike against it was that, at that time, it was very popular, more so than Victoria.Any way you look at it, Rebecca, Rebecka, Rebekah, it's a beautiful name.

agreeIt's a very nice name, and it's always been popular, not faddish or trendy. But I don't like the nn Becky at all, and that goes double for Becca.
