[Opinions] Twins
What do you think of naming twins Albion (m) and Avalon (f)?

They're too themey and too similar in sound, and those are two things I really dislike in twin names...or sibling names in general. Each name is okay on its own, though.

I think it's too matchy-matchy, and I would advise against it.

A bit too matchy in sound and meaning for my tastes but it's not a terrible sibset.I agree with ACL that if I had twins naming them something so similar is probably not a good idea since they are already twins as it is. Most twins like to feel a bit more different and unique from one another.

Albion is a country and Avalon is, presumably, a place in that same country. Like "This is my son France and my daughter Paris". That bothered me seriously, even before I looked at the similarity of the names. If I saw it in real life, I'd assume a very young mother, probably a single parent with nobody available to talk some sense into her. And I'd think that there must be better ways to end up with a son Al and a daughter Ava.

Way too matchy and similar.

As a twin, I hate when twins have similar sounding names. It's not like siblings, it's worse because for a good part of their lives people are going to be seeing them together and it's hard enough getting people to understand that they are two separate people. Granted b/g twins have a it better in that regard but it just stops being cutesy after awhile and everyone just thinks they're the first person to notice the similar names. That said, the names are fine on their own.
