Alexis on a girl is okay, not a favorite but I like it better than Alexa, Alexandra or Alexandria. I actually went to school with a girl named Alexis who was a couple grades ahead of me. She was and stil is a spoiled, obnoxious woman, and her daughter Baylee is in my daughter's class; Baylee is every bit as spoiled and obnoxious as her mother.

My husband went to school with a boy named Alexis, though they didn't find that out till graduation. He was just called Alex; his family is Greek.

I really hate the nn Lexi. It sounds so cheap and ditzy. The Alexis I went to school with still goes by Lexi.
