It is a bit of a stunner! And I like both Frederica and Rica. Pretty, not stuffy.

Lydia Frederica really is beautiful! I don't think Frederica is stuffy, in fact it feels kind of fresh. But more like the name of a 1930s aristocrat than a child today, so I don't know how easy it would be to use. I can't decide if a like Frederica but I like Freda as a nickname.

I love the sound of Frederica, whether you use four syllables, "fred-er-EE-kuh" or three, "freh-DREE-kuh." I love that a "fred" name can be made so frilly and feminine. I love that it's a family name for me, with the frumpy-chic Freda as a nn. Rica is cute too. Frederica is bouncy and happy, yet refined and elegant at the same time.

My stock combo is Anne Frederica, as an homage to Jane Austin's "Persuasion." Lydia Frederica is lovely as well.

Oh! How pleased I am to see MY name here! Well, almost. My name is Fredrika, which is the Swedish version, and my nicks are Dika and Freddy.

I know a Frederica who is 20 and goes by Freddie. I think it is a bit stuffy or complicated, but if you use a nickname than it's fine (I don't like Rica though, sorry!).

I like it, although I do prefer Frédérique and Fred/Freddie as a nickname.
