I love it! It's been on my list for a few years now. I just really like the retro vibe it has, while still remaining perfectly usable today. And it has a couple of cute nicknames, which is surprising for such a short name- Junie and Junebug, for example. It also makes me think of warm colors and sunsets, which is a nice image.

I love June. I think it's a fresh alternative to Jane. Short and simple but not overdone and it has a nice sound. And if you're daring it can be a cute nickname for Juno or Juniper. My Gran's middle name is June and she's always gone by that name so I have a soft spot for it

I really like the name June. It's pretty and elegant, plus I like its retro flair. I think it has some cute nn's. Junie and June Bug to name some. :) Plus I don't mind month names, I like them much more than days of the week names. June is a very nice month. It's the end of spring classes and the beginning of summer freedom.

It's not a favorite, but it's okay.

June is sweet and refreshingly uncomplicated. I love more elaborate forms like Juno, Junia too. But sometimes the one syllable form is all you need. Less is more.In the 1980s I went to school with a guy whose girlfriend was named June. It was so unusual to come across the name in that age group at that time. This budding name-nerd was very impressed. :-)

It's been a favorite of mine for a long time. Since I met a June. It seems very light-hearted and summery. And I love ooo sounds. I think it benefits a whole lot from being similar to Jane, too.

Your mentioning that you love ooo sounds made me stop and realize that while I hate Jude, I love June. I also hate Judy and Judith, and have mentioned that I hate the JOOD sound, which I do, but since I love June I now realize that the fault lies with the D and not the OOO. These are the types of ridiculous things you end up saying when you discuss names---"The fault lies with the D and not the OOO."

I agree with you. I like June, Juno, Juniper, Julia and Julian but I'm not very fond of Jude, Judy or Judith.

Lol, at, "(t)he fault lies with the D and not the OOO." observation. I so get that. You guys are the only ones in my life that I can share that with. Thanks. :-)

June has really grown on me. I have come to love June. I'd consider it as a first name and I'd really consider it as a middle name. It's a good middle name alternative the the tired, boring, fillerish Jane.

Lovelovelove it. It's my grandmother's name and I really want to use it on a daughter someday. Unfortunately my partner's surname rhymes with it so I'll have to put it in the middle.
