I've always really loved Eve. Do you think it's very religious sounding?
Do you think Evie could work on its own?
Eve or Evie?
I would use Eve and call her Evie sometimes.
Do you think many Evas or Evangelines (Eva and Evangeline are getting rather common) get called Eve for short? I know of a few Sophias who get called Sophie so I'm wondering...or Evie?
I just wonder whether Evie will be the new Maddie in a few years :/

My little cousin is named Eve "Evie." Her brothers are Ezekiel "Zeke," John, and Jesse. My high school best friend also has a little girl named Eve. I think it's a beautiful name, but I prefer it without the Evie nn, although it's cute. I really like Evelyn "Evie" but pronounced Eh-vee.
I don't see Evangeline becoming common, but I do think Eva might become an alternative to the massively popular Ava. Seriously doubt Evie will be the next Maddie.

I don't think it's too religious-sounding. I would use it, and I'm not religious at all. I don't like Evie on it's own and prefer it as a nickname, but I know that it is used by itself, especially in the UK. So I would go with Eve, nn Evie.

I kinda prefer Evie, but as a nn for Eve or any other Eve- or Ev- names.
I think plenty of girls named Eva, Eve, Evelyn, Evangeline, Evadne, Genevieve (my pick), Eveline, Geneva, etc etc are called Evie. Without a doubt.
It's possible Evie could be the new Maddie, but not really in the same sense. Evie doesn't have a trashy FN option like Maddie does (Madison, Maddison, Madyson, Madisyn etc)

I love Eve :) it's in my top three. I do fear that Evie might become the new Maddie though... well maybe not THAT popular but I do think it's gaining steam.
I don't actually view Eve as that religious and then even when I consider it in a religious context, I like the reference. Who wouldn't like being named after the very first woman? I just love that it means "life" and I view it as an (obviously) classic name with a lot of spunk and modernity - Eve is strong yet undeniably feminine. I did at one point prefer Eva to Eve but since Eva's gained considerable popularity I lean more towards Eve so I hope it stays under the radar =/

I love Eve, it's my absolute favourite girls name. I don't think it's religious sounding.
I think Evie could work as a full name, but Eve with the nickname Evie would be my choice, because Evie is quite cute and childlike.
Evie is already pretty common here in the UK, so it could become popular elsewhere as well.

No, I don't think it's too religious sounding. It's just a regular name to me.
I think Evie should be a NN for Eve.
I only know one baby Evangelina, and her parents call her by her full name. I'm sure they will shorten it to Evie once the "new" wears off, though, at least some of the time.
