[Opinions] Duane
I think I really like the name Duane. It just occured to me, since normally I've seen it spelt Dwayne, which I can't stand. But Duane seems rather nice and old-fashioned. Wdyt?_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Duane is one of my least favourite names! I just hate the sound of it. I have pretty bad images of a person called Duane. Duane is better than Dwayne though. :)Image hosted by Photobucket.com

In North America, I've found that many associate Duane with redneck children born in the 1950s and I have to say that I'm one of them. Sadly, due to the usuage of Dwayne many have assumed its just a tacky elaboration of (the equally unappealing IMHO) Wayne.

I find Duane a very masculine name. I prefer it to Dwayne, big time.

I don't like it. It will always remind me of Duane Dibbley from Red Dwarf.

Duane/Dwayne is nmsaa. Every time I hear it I think of the old knock-knock joke punchline "Duane the bathtub I'm dwowning."

I prefer the spelling Duane as well...but either way, I am reminded of Full House, Kimmy had a boyfriend (almost got married) to a Dwayne, and he only spoke one word, "whatever". Point is, I never cared for it due to that.Anyway, not including that...the sound of the name has no appeal.~~Kris~~

It's very cute...in the slightly nerdy, yet adorable way :)
