DS: William John "Liam" (blue, light brown), 6Three years have passed rather uneventfully, but now Gabriel is going to college! It seems like only yesterday he was walking around in diapers and making mud pies in the backyard. He's been accepted to Northeastern University, so at least he'll still be in the same city. (He refuses to continue to live at home, though.) He wants to major in architecture and perhaps minor in history, but it's not completely set in stone yet. For now, he's taking a broad range of classes to get a better feel for what he really wants to do. He's really excited for college, especially because his girlfriend Rachel (18), who he has been seeing since they were sophomores in high school, is also going to Northeastern. We can tell that they are very committed to each other; we practically expect an engagement announcement any day now.Alec is still in high school but already has lofty career goals. He has expressed his desire to join Cirque du Soleil. He and his class saw a show on a field trip, and he become convinced it was the perfect job for him. Considering how athletic he is, it isn't too far-fetched, but it isn't everyday you tell your friends and coworkers that your son is going to join the circus. Still, Alec's dreams haven't stopped him from playing sports. He is still an avid soccer and basketball fan, and he gets together with friends from time to time to play. Unfortunately, he's had to give up sports for a while because 1) he needs to concentrate on his schoolwork, and 2) he has a new girlfriend. Her name is Melisande Bronte Gannon (18). Alec met her at a friend's football game (she was a cheerleader for the opposing school), and they've been together for about two months.Madison has finally broken out of her shell and is now much more comfortable around people. She has even begun to like a boy in her class, Elijah Paul Denham (14). She has continued to excel at piano and is very sought-after by talent groups. She isn't really quite sure what she wants to do about that, seeing as how she's only thirteen, but she has told us that she wants to try her hand at acting. We aren't too fond of the the idea, but we sat down together and talked about it. In the end, we agreed to let her attend a few auditions and see how things go from there.Reagan isn't in the limelight like her sister, but that's exactly how she wants it. She has a very close group of friends at school, where she is popular and well-liked. Like her older brothers, she has taken a liking to sports, basketball in particular. She is planning on trying out for the school team, and we're positive she'll make it. Reagan has also developed a crush on a boy in her class, Aidan Joshua Lowe (13); they've been friends since kindergarten. Our youngest, Liam, is six and just started school this year. He says he likes it, but he hasn't been doing too well. For one, just like his big brothers, he's hyperactive and can't sit still. He is always getting up out of his seat or talking when he's not supposed to. For another, he's found that the best way to solve problems is with his fists. He's gotten into a lot of fights in the last few weeks and is on the verge of getting suspended or even expelled. We've arranged to have a parent-teacher meeting next week to discuss what we should do about the situation.
