The MacAngus family lives in Calgary, Canada. Brennan and Adrienne married a year after she finished high school. [Year Zero] Adrienne is in her second year of pre-vet school while Brennan is in the third year of his BSc degree.
Year One: Family Event
Brennan's dad Finley is celebrating his 50th birthday in Scotland with his extended family, and invited Brennan and his new wife Adrienne. They had a big birthday bash and Adrienne got to meet the family who couldn't come to the wedding. [Brennan graduates with a BSc degree, Adrienne finishes pre-vet requirements].
Year Two: Birth
Adrienne finds out she's pregnant just before she applies to Vet school. After a good prenancy, she gives birth to her and Brennan's first child....a daughter who they named Charlotte Sophia. Brennan is starting med school so it's up to Adrienne to take care of Charlotte with the help of Adrienne's sister Eloise. Charlotte has a bit of dark auburn hair and Brennan's blue eyes.
Year Three: Pet
Adrienne adopts a rabbit for Charlotte's first birthday. Brennan chooses the name Snowy because of her snow white coat. Charlotte is very happy and the bunny became attached to the toddler.
Year Four: Family Event
Charlotte gets very sick....after a few days the worried parents rushed their daughter to the children's ER. The ER doctor told the worried parents that Charlotte has a bad case of croup, and would need to stay in the hospital until she can breathe better. Charlotte stays in the children's hospital with Adrienne while Brennan returns to school. Things get better and Charlotte is released two days later.
Year Five: Family Event-Birth
Brennan graduates med school, and starts residency in cardiology! Adrienne is in her second year of vet school, while Charlotte starts pre-school. Adrienne suddenly collapses at school one day, and was rushed to the hospital. Brennan met her there, where they find out Adrienne is seven months pregnant. Hard to believe but true, Adrienne did not know she was pregnant. Pre-term labor had just started, but the doctors were able to stop it. Adrienne was released to home for bed rest, and six weeks later after the family was able to prepare for the unexpected baby, she went into labor again. Adrienne was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy without complications. Their first son was named Nicholas Red, and he has fair hair and green eyes.
Year Six: Random
On her way to pick up Nick from daycare, Adrienne's car was hit by a truck. Little Charlotte was also in the car, and escaped with a few cuts and bruises. Adrienne however, broke her clavicle, three ribs and was pretty beat up. Charlotte was released from the hospital the next morning to Brennan, while Adrienne was there for three days. The family was so happy there were no serious injuries.
Year Seven: Adoption
After much consideration, Adrienne and Brennan decide to adopt a child that needs a home. After talking with some local organizations, they found out about a 15 year old girl named Amelia who wants to give her baby up for adoption. Amelia agreed to an open adoption with the MacAngus family, and later gave birth to a baby girl. The baby's father and Amelia's ex-boyfriend initially put up a fight against the baby's adoption, but soon agreed after child support was brought up. Amelia helped choose the name for the fair hair and blued eyed girl, and the child was named Lillie Amelia. Amelia keeps in contact and visits on occasion. Charlotte and Nick have adjusted well to the baby.
Year Eight: Pet
Brennan decided to get a few fish for the kids. He bought three, one for each of their kids. Charlotte named hers Sunny, Nicholas named his Rory and little Lillie named hers Kiki.
Year Nine: Job
Adrienne got good news, a promotion was given to her! She was promoted to a senior vet at the clinic she works for, getting a pay raise and bonus. The whole family went out for a nice dinner in celebration.
Year Ten: Random
Adrienne got a call while at work from Nick's school. Nick had fallen on the playground equipment and broke his arm. Adrienne met him at the hospital where it was x-rayed and cast in a blue cast. Nick took it well, and couldn't wait until he could get his friends to draw on it.
Year Eleven: Job
Brennan has finished his residency at Rockyview, and his employer has decided to send him on a business trip to Toronto right away! Brennan left his family for eight days. The kids and Adrienne missed him, and bombarded him with hugs when he returned.
