Year 1: Arrigo and Aline attend a family reunion of Arrigo's family.
Year 2: Arrigo and Aline travel to Mexico.
Year 3: Arrigo gets a promotion.
Year 4: Aline gets a pet frog, an American green tree frog, which she names Emerald.
Year 5: Aline gives birth to their first child, a daughter with wild curly red hair and striking hazel eyes, who they name Adelaide Romy. Though they aren't quite sure where her red hair comes from, they are ecstatic to have little Della in their life.
Year 6: A stray dog shows up at the Mac Niadhs' house and Aline convinces Arrigo to let them keep it. They name her Luned.
Year 7: The Mac Niadhs get another dog so Luned would have someone to keep her company. They name the husky Aspen and she gets along great with Luned and Della.
Year 8: Arrigo's sister, Maddalena, died in a car accident. It was a shock to the whole family and Arrigo stays with his family for a few weeks after her death.
Year 9: Arrigo and Aline decide it's time for a family vacation and they take a trip to Greenland.
Year 10: Arrigo and Aline adopt a girl from China. Mei Li is 12 years old and has straight black hair and brown eyes.
Year 11: Arrigo and Aline adopt again, this time a 4 year old boy from Australia. Lachlan Koby has wavy brown hair and blue eyes.
Year 12: Aline changes from teaching high school math to being a 1st grade elementary teacher.
Year 13: Aline gives birth to another daughter. They name her Magdalene Chanel, after Arrigo's sister, and she has straight brown hair and hazel eyes.
Year 14: The Mac Niadhs take a family vacation to Alberta, Canada.
Year 15: The kids get a pet rabbit and decide to name it Zuri.
