Year 1: We find out that when Roland’s grandfather passed away 4 months before our wedding that he had left an inheritance.
Year 2: We find a frog and decide to keep it. We name it Terrence.
Year 3: For our anniversary we spend the day at the San Diego Zoo.
Year 4: We take a vacation to Brazil.
Year 5: On December 3rd we become parents. I give birth to a beautiful little girl with curly black hair and blue eyes. We name her Lily Marie.
Year 6: Lily gets chicken pox.
Year 7: Our frog Terrence has been gone for a little while now but we thought Lily should have a pet so we get another frog and name it Lilac.
Year 8: This year we also get a goldfish that Lily names Nemo.
Year 9: We travel to Minnesota to see my family.
Year 10: For our 10 year anniversary we go to Germany while Lily stays with Roland’s mom. While in Germany we ended up conceiving. We told Lily on Christmas that she was going to be a big sister to twins.
Year 11: August 1st I gave birth to a straight red haired, brown eyed daughter named Minerva Riley and a wavy black haired brown eyed boy named Blake Taylor. When the twins were 3 ½ months old, on their first Christmas we once again had news for Lily and our family. We hadn’t meant to get pregnant so soon after the twins were born but we did.
Year 12: On September 10th I gave birth to another son with black curls and blue eyes. We named him Samuel Hayden.
Year 13: Roland gets a promotion.
Year 14: At the beginning of this year I found out I was carrying twins again. On Sam’s 2nd birthday I went into labor. It put a damper on the party but Sam was fine with his two new presents. First born was blond with curls and brown eyes, a girl we named Clover Aurora. Her twin sister has straight black hair and hazel eyes. Her name is Arabella Jordan.
Year 15: Even though we completely have our hands full when we met 10 year old Abeni, an African child who had been brought to America to be treated for a tumor in her leg only to find out her caretaker, her grandmother, died while she was gone and she had no one to go to, we took her in. We gave her the middle name Jocelyn.
Year 16: After unexpectedly adding Abeni to our family last year we did not want to add any children soon but we were told by Abeni that she had a sister somewhere in Africa and we set out to find her. When we did she was living on the streets and prostituting for food even though she was only 13 years old. We had to save her so Zuri came to live with us and we added the middle name Seraphine.
Year 17: While we were visiting my family in Minnesota an earthquake hit. Much of our house was destroyed but we are very grateful we weren’t home.
Year 18: We adopt a 3 year old girl from Spain named Maria Luz.
Year 19: We adopt a 7 year old girl from Australia named Scarlett Lee.
Year 20: Our shed caught on fire. Luckily no one was hurt and it was put out before it reached the house.
Year 21: Scarlett broke her wrist playing goalie at soccer.
Year 22: We get a turtle named Luigi.
Year 23: Somehow Samuel convinced me to let him get a snake, he named Toto.
Year 24: We travel again to Germany. We thought we were getting old enough not to really worry but again after we came home from Germany I found out I was pregnant.
Year 25: On April 28th our son George Alexander was born with curly brown hair and hazel eyes.
Year 26: Scarlett uses her birthday money to buy a hamster she calls Luca.
Year 27: A stray cat wanders into our yard and the kids insist on keeping it and calling it Sukie.
Year 28: Visit family in Minnesota.
Year 29: We adopt a shelter dog. It is a golden retriever named Daisy.
Year 30: For our 30 year anniversary we travel to Spain.
