[Opinions] Annabel
What do you think of Annabel?

I think it's a lovely name, but prefer the spelling Annabelle.
I like it a lot.
It makes me think of a cat. But I really was into -belle names when I was younger. So I see them as a little immature just because of that. But I am starting to come back around to them, I like Mabel and Amabel a lot now a days. I do like Annabel (this spelling or Anabel) nowadays, it makes me think of a sweet wholesome girl.
I know a couple who have an eleven-month-old daughter named Annabel. Her full name is Annabel Lee, after the Poe poem. I think this young couple did such a great job naming their two daughters---the older one is Lydia Jayne, Jayne is honoring---especially when you consider how much crap you hear nowadays.
So, yes, I like Annabel. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I love it, but I do like it. I think it's starting to become popular.

I love Annabel (strictly this spelling)! It manages to be whimsical and grounded at the same time.
I like it on paper - and that is the spelling I vastly prefer.
In real life I get a slight impression of princessy-ness. Probably because of Annabelles I've met who are bratty.

I think it's pretty and that it ages well. I love it.
Love it -- especially this spelling.
I like it. I like this spelling best too - Annabelle is a bit too frilly for me.
I think it's pretty without being too girly, and recognisable without being too popular, which is great!

"It was many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me."
. . .
For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; . . . "
Annabel is so romantic. Love, love it. Plus, I have a personal connection -- my brother and a friend use it as a nn for me. So I have to admit that I'm biased.
