I dislike it for a girl and think it's okay for a boy. I definitely think it's too common for me to ever consider (plus I just don't like it enough.) I don't think it's too girly; I think of it as unisex. It is a little dated, though.
I've met 2, one girl and one boy. For a girl, I guess I picture a blond, pretty, but maybe somewhat empty teenager. For a boy, I basically just picture one of the boys who used to bully me in middle school, because his name was Taylor and the association is so strong.
