I like Aidan and Hayden despite their popularity (although I'm so sick of the whole rhymes-with-Aidan trend, I wouldn't use either one). If I can mentally separate them from the rest of the herd, I can see the appeal of Jadon and Caden. For me, though, that's it. The seemingly limitless alternate spellings make my head hurt, as do inventions like Zayden and Mayden.
I've reached the point where it's hard for me to figure out how many kids I've met whose names rhyme with Aidan because they're all blurring together, but I can think of several Cadens I've met:
- a girl born to a woman in my preggo group (spelled Kaidyn).
- a Caden in my son's preschool who was a little terror.
- the older half-brother of one of my son's friends; at 18, he's the oldest one I've met.
I've never met them, but I know an admin in my company who has a son and stepson both named Caden and both roughly the same age. I don't know how they're spelled, but they differentiate the boys by calling them K and C.
