Faline isn't the worst name in the world. It's actually feminine. Bambi's not bad, either. I wouldn't use either, though.

I had a fawn colored mini rex rabbit as a teenager that I named Falene. I though it was a cute name for a pet, but I can't imagine using it for a little girl. I definitely don't like Bambi - I can't imagine a woman with that name ever being taken seriously.

In my country, Bambi's little girlfriend is named Feline (people whose native tongue is English will indeed connect that name with cats, but in my country we don't, because we don't use the world 'feline' for anything that relates to cats). I think that spelling is much prettier. :) It's pronounced as 'feh-LEEN' here, by the way. :)

BambieI knew a Bambie. She was mean - but only because the other kids used to tease her about her name. What child doesn't know who Bambie is? It sounds nice - I've given the name to pets, but I think for a human being it just wouldn't do anymore, because of the Disney movie."Chan eil tuil air nach tig traoghadh"

I had a friend in jr. high named Kym (Kymberly) whose younger sister was named Bambi. I don't believe she was teased for her name, at least not much. She was slightly 'famous' in the area, though, for doing community theater and local commercials, so her popularity distracted people from her name, I guess. :b ~Heather~

Yes! That is totally a stripper name! Or the name of a weak fawn that grows to be a strong buck in charge of the forest. "Chan eil tuil air nach tig traoghadh"
