It's unobjectionable, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. I guess I prefer Aidan, if that's the original spelling. It's too popular as a first name to make an interesting middle name.

As for misspellings, my great-nephew's name is Aidan. His grandfather initially, at least, spelled his name Ayden, apparently just taking a guess at it. I'm assuming he didn't keep it up, once corrected.
