Despite overuse, I still love the name Aidan (this spelling only). I get so irritated when I see the Aiden spelling, let alone Ayden. Ugh.
Personally, I would use it as a fn if I really loved it. But it's still great as a mn if the popularity issue weighs heavily on you.
