I don't suppose you've read The Fault in Our Stars lately? The main characters are Hazel and Augustus "Gus".

I think Hazel and August go really well together. They're both uncommon but not unheard of, and have the same slightly vintage feel.

Yes, it is good. It's quirky and definitely not your typical mainstream Y-A fic. It almost made me cry.
