I don't really like it much. It just makes me think of electricity and I don't really see it as a name. I would spell it Elettra, to distance it further from the electricity association. Elektra is my least faovourite spelling, the K looks strange in the middle.

I really like it. I think it makes for an interesting middle name actually, although it seems a bit too much in the first spot unless you're Greek.

Funny you should mention this! It's always been my favorite name,and I am in the process of renaming my baby and my DH said "go for it" but I've been giving it some practice lately (after he pulled about a million other names out from under me while in transition) and I have to say I feel like I am getting shocked every time I say it!!! I wonder if I would get enured to it and then the luster would wear off-or if it would sound boring and dull- like building a tolerance to a drug/smoking cigarettes or something. I love it but not sure if I'll stick with it yet, it's quite startling to say. I would plan to spell it with a K.

I don't think of it as a real person's name. I can see some weird fantasy character having it, but even in that instance it seems kind of cliche.
