[Opinions] Wren
What are your thoughts on Wren for a girl? I love it, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. In my son's elementary school there are two Wrens-one is a girl, one is a boy. Thoughts on the name?

It's my maternal great-grandmother's maiden name. So I'm biased. But I love it. I'm waiting for my niece to get pregnant so I can suggest it for her. She's got a difficult surname to work with and Wren would work beautifully. I love Wren for a girl. The image of a small, delicate bird is adorable. Plus, I love how uncomplicated the sound of it is.

Wren is simple, sweet, and just a little quirky. I like it, and I don't think it needs to be relegated to GP status. I only like it for a girl, but for a boy, Ren is an option.

I love Wren. I've only encountered it as a feminine name. I don't think I like Wren as a masculine name. I prefer Ren for a boy.

I love wrens themselves, but as a name it's sort of meh. Really drab, actually.

Leave it to the birds. What's next, Heron?

I like Heron for a boy, albeit as a mn. Frederick Heron and Elijah Heron are stock combos of mine. Plus, Heron is a surname so I can easily see someone using it for a child -- to pass down heritage. :-)ETA: I didn't realize it was in the database as a Greek name. Bonus.

I know a 4-yr-old boy named Heron. Parents are avid outdoors people.

I love it! It's cute, naturey, perky, and has a lot of personality. I like it on a girl. I could learn to like it on a boy too, but I definitely prefer it on a girl. It's cute as a fn but if I ever used it I'd probably use it as a mn.
