[Opinions] Talia
Talia has been on my mind for the past few days. I used to love it, but it faded from my top names about a year ago. I definitely like it as just Talia rather than a nickname for Natalia. What do you think of it? Any good combos?

Half of my head thinks it's vague and ephemeral and indefinite and "such things", but the other half thinks it's scratchy and clawy like talons. So, for me it's a lose-lose name.ETA: Perhaps the fact that I don't like either Natalie or Natalia doesn't help!

I prefer it as a nickname for Natalia, but Talia is nice too. It sounds somewhat strong without being harsh, but it's definitely very feminine.Combos:

I used to love Tali (full name) and Thalia. I still like them but wouldn't use them. There are just too many spellings and variants and people never know how to pronounce them. I only like the TAH-lee-ah pronunciation. I especially dislike two syllable pronunciations such as TAL-ya or TAHL-ya. tah-LEE-ah is acceptable. I know Thalia is originally tha-LY-ah but I don't really care for that. Talia looks wrong to me even though I know it's legit. Tahlia looks much better and would probably be best for the pronunciation I like. Thalia might get mispronounced.I would only use Tahlia (TAH-lee-ah) or Thalia (TAH-lee-ah).
