[Opinions] Elizabeth - no nicknames
What do you think of Elizabeth? I'd use it without any nicknames. I sometimes like Liz, but prefer Elizabeth so this is what I'd call her ALL of the time. Most people I've asked like the name so they can use a specific nickname. I like the full name. What do you think of Elizabeth the full name assuming it really is used all of the time? Too much?

Elizabeth is beautiful.I do love some of its nicknames, though. We have a new grandchild named Elizabeth, and to my knowledge the parents are using the full name. We expect to see her in a couple of months, and I'm hoping I can sneak in a nickname now and again, but if the parents don't want it, then I'll stick with Elizabeth.

I like the name Elizabeth. It's classic and timeless. There are also a lot of possible nns. I know you like the full name, but others using a nn is inevitable. It's too much for a little kid, but she'll grow into it.When I was little, my family always called me Jennifer. Then, my sister, Susan was born. She was instantly Suzy, and our dad decided that I needed a nn too. That's when I became Jenny. I'm Jennifer at work now, and she's only Susan when I'm annoyed with her.Our cousins Michelle and Stephanie hated being called Chelle and Steph- until college. Then, suddenly it didn't bother them. Their brother is Matthew. At school, he was Matt. Some relatives sometimes use it now, but he'll always be Matthew to me.Some new names have no 'official' nns, but I sometimes call my niece Raelynn just Rae.

I love this name so much!"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish."-Unknown

It's not too much. I love Elizabeth in full, though I do love many of her nicknames, too.

My sister-in-law is named Elizabeth and doesn't use a nickname. I went by Elizabeth for about three years and never used a nickname. I don't think it's too much at all.

One of my best friends is an Elizabeth and I've never known her as anything else (but I've heard her dad call her Lizzie, but I don't think she suits it).
I also have a cousin called Elizabeth, but we've always called her Beth.
Personally, I've always loved the name without nicknames.X

I like Elizabeth without a nickname. I've known some Elizabeths who went by Elizabeth rather than a nickname. It's doable.

I know a 15 year old Elizabeth who doesn't go by any nicknames, so it happens. I don't think it's too much.

I think that Elizabeth is a pretty name without using any nicknames. In fact, I honestly don't like nicknames, if I ever have children I'm not going to give them nicknames because I like their full name and that's exactly what I'd call them by. I've never known an Elizabeth who went by her full name, they'd always have a nickname so it would be nice to meet an Elizabeth who went by her full name!
