Thoughts on the Medieval name Tiffany?
This name that according Behind the name. come was traditionally given to girls born on the Epiphany (January 6), the festival commemorating the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus. It means "manifestation of God"
Okay I'm trying to get people to look at this name differently.
Could this name be consider classical? can it be synonymous with the ever classy Audrey Hepburn?
If I told you I just named a baby girl Tiffany what would your honest response be?

I like the name Tiffany; I think it's simple, pretty, and grows well with age. I actually have a character in a book I'm working on , her full name is Tiffany Anne Logan.
I commonly see people associate the name with other names like:
Ashley, Stephanie, Brittany, Chelsea, etc. as being cliquey, popular girl names.

Sorry, I think the name Tiffany sounds like some kind if confection. It's like naming your child "Cottoncandy"

I didn't know the history of it, and it is interesting, but I'm afraid this name will always be dated and lower-class to me.
It's definitely not as classy as Audrey.

I really don't think it can be called a classic in the same way as Elizabeth or Mary can. To be a classic I think the name has to have enjoyed fairly steady use right along, and Tiffany hasn't. It may be classical, but not classic. And I would advise anybody who wants to use the name Tiffany not to try and tell people how classical it is, because it won't ring true even though it is.
If I was reading the birth announcements and saw a Tiffany, I'd smile. It's a pretty name, and it would be a welcome change from all the Kaylees and Emmas and Sophies and Addisons.

I think it sounds very dated, but I like it in a GP sort of way.

I dislike this name. It was very popular when I was a kid, but it sounds fluffy and without substance. It didn't help that a lot of Playboy playmates seemed to be named Tiffany, either.
