[Opinions] Shulamith and Troy
I recently read the name Shulamith on a feminist writer and all of a sudden I thought "Hey, that's actually a very beautiful name!"
WDYT?
Also, what do you think about Troy for a girl? Generally, I don't like place names for human beings, I don't like boys' names on girls and I think Troy on a boy sounds too "cowboy-is". But strangely enough, I like it for a girl.

a myth about Don Shula? He was a famous football coach for the Miami Dolphins. That's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw Shulamith.Troy for a girl? I don't like it for boys, but for girls? I have a bad association with the name.

And all of those wins.

I have a friend who's name is Malin, but she's the kind of girl who changes a lot form day to day. A couple of times she has changed her name, not legally, just asking her friend to call her something different, including April and Shulamith.
I think it's a weird name and to be perfectly honest, I don't like it at all. Troy is alright, but not for a girl.

I adore Shulamith! Shulamith and Shadrach are my two top GP names:-) I dislike Troy on a boy and hate it on a girl. Croatian name for the Greek city is Troja and I actually think that might not be so bad for a girl.

It's Troja in Swedish, too. :)

Shulamith could grow on me.
I don't like Troy for a boy or girl. It's too masculine for a girl and I wouldn't want to have this name. It also makes me think of (embarrasingly enough) High School Musical because it was the name of the male lead.

off topicI always read your whole signature before I realize it's your signature! I find myself wondering what word you are referring to...and then I remember that it's your signature. Man, I must need more sleep. :)

Same here!I'm very sensitive, so I was thinking "oh no, what have I done now!?" until I realised it was simply a signature. :)
Maybe write it in Italics?

Inconceivable!

Now THAT just made my day :)It's a line from the Princess Bride, but, you see, I couldn't think of anything else. All is forgiven though. I often think that it sounds a bit strange myself xD.

I've been enjoying your signature......as "The Princess Bride" is one of my very favorite films and books. As an aside, I can't believe Goldman has left Fezzik and Waverly falling down an inconceivably high cliff all these years...

Why, thank you!I wish Goldman would finish it already!

Hmm, yes, when you mention it, I remember I have read that it's a name from High School Musical, but I have never seen that show (over my dead body! Phantom FTW!).

Hahahahah. I haven't seen it for 5 years xD
