[Opinions] WDYT of Ever?
Is this name suitable for real life or is it a GP? Is it for a boy or for a girl? Is it a nn or a full name? What would you think if you met a child named Ever? Combo suggestions?

I like Ever as a male nn short for Everardo (see Everard). I worked with a guy named Ever. If Ever is being used like the word, then I would find it a bit weird on a kid, but I like the Spanish short form. I am not sure about combos.

I think it's silly. If I heard it in the supermarket I would think, "Hee! That kid's parents think they're being original."If you want to use it, I suggest making it a nickname for Evelyn, Evangeline, or Evan. Something like that.

It is one of my GP names for a girl, I like it better and think it is more usable as a nickname for Everly - which I actually think is usable for real life. If I met a little girl called Ever I wouldn't be disappointed or horrified, but I would hope it is a nickname for Everly.

GP, unisex, only suitable for real life if you're a celebrity, or else Latin American. I think it is far less bad on a boy because I think it's a Spanish form of Eber. I've never heard of it as a nickname. If I met a child named Ever I'd feel a bit bad for him/her, because I would not want to bear it as a name. I think it's sort of like being named Only, Soon, or Well. The word is too ordinary.
