[Opinions] Mark
Met a totally adorable 6 year old with this name and it got me thinking about it. I really like the sound and the simplicity, but is it dated? Refreshing? What do you think?

Yes, I think it is dated. I grew up across the street from a Mark in the 70s. It's such a typical 20th century New Testament-ish name (John, Michael, Matthew, Steven, James, Peter, Paul, Jason).Marc, though, still seems crisp. I'd use Marcus nn Marc.

I don't mind the sound and the simplicity, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it refreshing. Not knowing Marks in their 30s, 20s, teens, and kid-years. There hasn't been enough of a gap for it to be refreshing yet. Fine name though.

I think in several mor years it will be refreshing, at the moment though I know a lot of 30-40 year olds with this name. I like it also but not enough to use. I prefer Markus / Marcus.

I love Mark. It's strong and understated -- very underrated. Mark Daniel is my stock combo.

I think it's refreshing. I, too, enjoy the simplicity.
