I'm sorry, but I think it's unusable. Unless maybe as a middle name. It's way too complicated. You may be able to explain the pronunciation of Cillian or Caoimhe even, or tell people to pronounce Alicia as ah-lee-SEE-ah, but Maeleachlainn is so complicated your child will have lots of trouble with it. I mean if you love it so much, go ahead. But I personally wouldn't recommend using it. I wouldn't change the spelling either though. The alternatives all look weird to me.Also many people might pronounce the -leach part the way it looks which then sounds like leech which isn't appealing either. Again, if you love it you should use it. I know I love some names others hate and the most important thing is that you like it. But you should be aware that your kid might have lots problems with it. Oh and maybe it would be better to pair this with a simple middle name.
