Help[Opinions] How Would You Pronounce This Name?
Bernard Louis - This is my 5th favorite boy combination and I was just wondering how you would pronounce it. If you'd like, you also can say if you like or dislike the name. Thank you for your help :)

I like Bernard very much but its nns not at all. Barney is the best of the bunch; Bernie is awful. If I lived where a lot of German was spoken, I'd consider Berndt as a snazzy option.
Louis always gets (an approximation to) the French pronunciation where I live. That said, I prefer Lewis.

Where I live, it would be BerNARD Louie.
In an English-speaking area, BERnard Louis,the "Louis" pronounced as written.
I like Bernard, either way; Louis I'm not so fond of, though don't intensly dislike it.

bern-(n)ard lou-ee or bern-(n)ard lou-is (as in, Lewis). Bern-(n)ar(d) can also work - you know, very soft or non-existent or nearly non-existent n and d sounds. The 'r' is very, very flattened in the second and fairly flattened in the first syllable. The pron. bern-ARRRRD or something that sounds like that is fairly common, but not common here and I find it incredibly ugly. I really hate the 'American' pron. of Bernard I hear on TV shows. I don't know how ubiquitous it is or how regional it may be, but I find it gross. I first heard bern-ARRRRD in an American film, so it may not be American but I associate it as being such. It’s horrible.
When I say Bernard, both syllables have a fairly even tone. If there is stress on one more than the other, it isn't a strong stress. It's a bit like how I would say Howard. Both syllables are neutral, with no particular tone, stress or emphasis difference. Any stress is on the first syllable and never on the last. Louis has probably has stress towards the end.

Bernard Louis = BER-nerd LOO-is
Bernard isn't really my cup of tea at all, it reminds me too much of the St. Bernard dog breed, Louis is a name I've encountered quite a lot, it's not bad but it doesn't get me excited either.

I would pronounce it: bər-NAHRD loo-EE.
Occasionally I mix things up with Louis. I know it is, at its core, French. Sometimes the English LOO-is gets me. But not today.
It's alright. I don't love either name, but I don't dislike them either. Although my orthodontist's name was Bernard. Perhaps it feels a tiny bit dated.
