[Opinions] Price
My husband's name is Rhys. Since we discovered that Price means 'son of Rhys', the name has grown on him and is now one of his favourites for a boy. I like it, but I'm not sold on it actually working as a first name. It sounds too last-namey to me, and I can't seem to fit it into any combos as a first name. For example:
Price Anthony
Price Vincent
Price Evander...they just don't sound right to me, though I can't put my finger on why.
Do you like Price? If you do, can you think of any middle names that it might work a bit better with?

I like Price! But I already like Prentice and Press AND love surnamey names on boys. I think Price Anthony and Price Evander sound fine. Price Vincent is too choppy though. Any MN you pair with it is going to sound a bit like a statement, like, "Go ahead and price Anthony for the yard sale" but then again, the FN/MN combo might not even ever be said enough for that to be an issue. The fact that it means "son of Rhys" and Rhys is your husband's name is pretty adorable though and would make me more inclined to love it
I'd use Price as a mn! You're right, it does sound last-namey in the wrong way. Some lns are just better suited to become fns than others! Anyway, think of all the "Low Price" and Priceless" jokes he won't have to yawn through if Price is tucked away quietly in the middle. It is a lovely way to echo his father's name, but not on a daily basis.
I can see why your husband would want to use it, but I agree that it's very surname-y. I think it would work better as a mn, so I'll give you a few suggestions. What about:

it does sound pretty dashing in the MN spot. Very regal and poetic
