Bianca has always sounded a tad harsh to me and reminds me of mouthwash "Binaca." I'm more of a Blanca / Blanche fan. But I'd still be thrilled to meet a little Bianca as it has great associations like Shakespeare. Plus, I'm all for keeping classic names like Bianca in use.

I like Bianca very much. I'm currently performing in a production of Taming of the Shrew, so I'm hearing it a lot lately. My first instinct is to say that because Bianca is so lively, it needs a middle name that's just as exciting. If you're not opposed to perpetuating the Taming of the Shrew thing, Bianca Katherine could be lovely, although not particularly exciting. Otherwise, I'd suggest:

I didn't use to like it because I associated it with a character in a British soap but now I do like it, especially as it's Shakespearean. In fact, it's the only B name that I truly like - I find B to be depressingly deficient in nice usable names.

It's actually my middle name! Whenever people find out it's my middle name, I get loads of compliments.
