[Opinions] A few BAs...
... that I just came across on a German blog dedicated to collecting BAs. I thought some of them were interesting enough to share.
(Um, just to clarify: They are interesting to me in that I don't see either some of the names or the combos around here too often. Other than that I actually like quite a few of them.)

Some comments:Wow, what a bunch of lovely names!Valeria Venora Lova Ida Elly
Her sisters are called Vyvyan Valeska Silke Gwendolyn Anneliese and Vanadis Viveka Sophia Traudl Ulrike - wow, what a mouthful! But most of the names are lovely. I love Valeria, Lova, Valeska, Silke (although it actually means silk in Swedish), Gwendolyn and Sophia. The only name I don't like at all is Traudl.Ida Spring - sweetElli - Erna Althea Berenika - I like Althena and Berenika, but Athena Berenike would be sweeterPolixeni - coolNox
Siblings: Neo and Noa - I don't like any of them. TackyMedb Ursula Ravenna - coooool...April Snow - although snow in April isn't exactly nice, I can't help liking this!Aurelia Narzissa Iuliana - *swoons*

Jeez, they do like Twilight!Melisande Lilly - Christin - I would love it if it were Lily Christine Melisande

Fantastic selection! Some really interesting names in there. Peewee & Edward Cullen made me laugh.Estíbaliz is Basque. There's a village with a 12th-century church dedicated to the BVM: http://www.spain.info/en/conoce/monumentos/alava/iglesia_de_santa_maria_de_estibaliz.html
and a well-known singer who's been around since the 70s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Est%C3%ADbaliz_Uranga
Most common meaning given (in English and Spanish anyway) seems to be 'sweet like honey'. No idea if this is accurate.Amancaya: apparently "The word 'amancaya' is the native Indian name of a flower of the Andes' - spotted on a site selling Argentinian wine, sounds plausible.

MelisandeETA: Found the blog. Now I feel like creating a Swedish equivalent. Too bad we don't have that trend with car stickers, or whatever they are.

Yeah, those baby name stickers on cars seem to be a very German/Austrian thing. I've never seen them anywhere else so far. (Then again, I haven't been to Denmark in a while. Maybe there...? ;-) )
Honestly, though, they are a great, name nerd-ish pastime on long car rides. Or when you get stuck in traffic. Again. (Not to mention they are the reason I found out that my mom is a name nerd in disguise :P )
I'd just wish they'd drop this Disney-ish font already; it can be hard to decipher at times :PAh, while you are here, I have a question:
Is Bjarka actually used in Scandinavia (or at least in Sweden)?

Hmm, I was in Copenhagen in July, didn't see any. I hope they'll come here ... :) Signs like these: http://tinyurl.com/btaypbu were very popular a few years ago, it was wonderful. But they are very rare now. :(There are only 4 Bjarka in Sweden, definitely not a Swedish name. Seems very Icelandic to me - I know a Bjarki whose mother is from Iceland.

I think you still see the stroller signs fairly often. My heart jumped with joy when I saw a little Isolde, but I cringe every time the sign says Kevin or Nova.
