[Opinions] Re: Liobhan
in reply to a message by Aiver
She would get a "She is Liobhan" from me every time I saw her (to the tune of the Beatles' "She's Leaving Home"). I agree with Cleveland Kent Evans that the name is too close to the word "leaving" for my tastes.
And the meaning rubs me the wrong way, for whatever reason.

And the old men march slowly, all bent, stiff and sore
The forgotten heroes from a forgotten war
And the young people ask, "What are they marching for?"
And I ask myself the same question

I'm not crazy about the meaning either
But I'm not too worried about name meanings. (usually)
I used to always think of "leaving" too but I recently heard the name prononuced LEE-vun as opposed to LEE-vin (how I had been pronouncing it). It's one to ponder anyway. :)
