Since it's pronounced, I think, oh-RAIL-yus ... Ray, Rale, or Raley seems like a natural nickname. Or maybe Ollie if it suits better.

Li (like Lee) would be my first choice.

Ari would work too.

I love the name Aurelius. I have considered it before and nns for it...I came up with (assuming it is pronounced UH-rell-ee-us, how I pronounce it):

Rel
Relius (rell-ee-us)

I suppose you could also use
Auri (AR-ee, like Ari like someone else suggested.)
Aura (maybe sounds too feminine)
Rely (like Rel-ee) or
Lee
