Do you think it's too trendy or 80s dated? I really like it in its full form. My guess is that most Christinas went by Christy and Tina, maybe that's why Christina doesn't sound dated to me. Do you think it's weird to name your child Christina when you're not a christian?

I love the name Christina (though prefer the spelling Cristina). I, personally, don't think it's too dated; in fact, I think it's a very classy name that stands the test of time.
Kristina or Christina? - definitely Christina; the K does nothing for me
Crystal or Christina? - definitely Christina; have never cared for Crystal

I like it too. My aunt is one and I've considered using it irl as a middle name. It made the charts here in the 1900s (top 100 in 1904, but only just) and had a brief comeback in the 40s and 50s. So nope, not 80s, and it's never been common enough to feel dated - as Kelly said, I could see it on any age.
Re the Christian thing, nope, don't think it's weird. Tons of names have meanings to do with gods and goddesses - doesn't mean you worship them.

It's the religious connotation that gets me, every time. Two of my four great-grandmothers were named Christiana, and I know something about both those remarkable ladies, but I would avoid the name and any form of it, to avoid confusion and typecasting.
That said, I know a (secular, OK) Jew with a wife named Christine. That must be fun!

I love Christine. Andrew Lloyd Webbers's Phantom of the Opera is a definite factor as to why.
Christina is just as nice. I do not at all put this name is the "80's trendy dated names” category.
Even if you are devout Christian there is a chance that your Christina will grow up to an atheist. So I don't think it matters.

One I don't think every Christina is a Christian. The thought would not even occur to me. I think is a little dated but I think of Christina as more of a timeless/ageless type of name. I could picture Christina being from 5 to 95.

All the Kristies and Tinas I knew were named Kristi or Tina except one Tina who I think was Bettina, and one Kristy who was Kristen. Oh, and there was a local politician here in Delaware for many many years who was actually named Evelyn but had always been called Tina. She was nearly ninety when she died a few years ago.
I don't think Christina is dated. It has been fairly popular for a long time. And I don't think that a nonChristian using the name Christina is any more unusual than say, a nonJew using the name Judith. Christian, yes, it would be a bit odd for a nonChristian to give that as a name, but even then, it's popular right now so that would take away most of the oddness.
I think I like Kristina just a shade better right now but they're both fine. Our top choices for our daughter were Valerie and Ashley, and Christina was a close third.

I think Christina is somewhat a modern classic. It's not dated, at least I do not think of it as dated. Actually, I think I would be pleasantly surprised if I met a baby Christina.

I really like Christina. To me it doesn't seem stylish or hip, but that doesn't matter too much. It's a classic. Christy ruins it though.
I prefer Christina, I HATE Crystal, and I like Christine, but not as much as Christina.
I wouldn't use Christina, but I don't think it's because I'm not a Christian. I just don't like it as much as I like other names. I really like Christopher as a middle name or boys, and I might use that even though I'm not Christian.
