I think Verity is quite pretty. I class it with Temperance and Clemency; slightly dated, very quaint virtue names which are dated enough to be "retro", not as over-used as Grace, Hope or Faith and without the stigma of Chastity or Mercy.
But I can but think of how amusing it'd be if there were a con-woman or perjurer called Verity. Irony at its finest. It's the risk one runs with any virtue name - a cold-hearted Clemency, a Temperance with anger-management issues, an atheist Faith, clumsy Grace or pessimistic Hope. Virtue names are just perfect for ironic poor name choices, haha.
