I don't really like it, but I don't know why. Maybe because it sounds like soya. I also depends on the pronounciation - I don't like SO-nyah.

Love, love, love it...one of my top favorites (although I personally prefer the spelling Sonya). Some may call it dated, but I think it's underused and classy -- time for a comeback in my opinion.

I've never been fond of it although I know a cute toddler Sonya.
There was a Sonia at school and other girls seemed to despise the name. I'm not sure why - perhaps it was because Sonia was regarded as a snob!

I really love it...spelled Sonya, though. I also like it as a nn of the Russian name Sofiya. I know a Sonja, she is an adult, but I still really like this name.

I love Sonia or Sonja , but Sonya looks funny to me like the Sony corporation. I like it because it sounds intelligent and fun at the same time and also the nickname Sunny is cute.

I like it! I also like the spelling Sonya. I think it's really underused. I have only ever met one, a two-year-old.
