There was a TV personality named 'Elvira' (el-VYE-rah, btw) and she was a super vampy campy goth vixen who did silly horror movies and stuff like that.

And - get this - her real name was Cassandra! Insane, lol

That's who I think of when I see that name! She was HUGE in her day (at least in the states)! Especially the late 80's, early 90's when she was on MTV, SNL, had her own show and made several movies!

I remembered! That's why I mentioned it :)

That and because my sister is Cassandra (Cassie) and she just about DIED when she learned that was Elvira's real name (she was about 10 at the time lol). Not exactly an association she was wanting but we both found Elvira pretty cool :)
