[Opinions] Anselm and Anselma
Have just been on my mind today. I already love Selma but have formerly seen Anselma as too much of a mouthful. Well, today, I'm having a change of heart, but, how do you pronounce Anselma - where do you put the stress? ANN-sel-muh interests me but ahn-ZEL-mah (which I know is more correct) feels awkward.Anselm for a boy seems more "ready-to-wear" but WDYT? Too much?

I absolutely adore Anselm! I consider it adequately stuffy, sophisticated, and bespectacled but also jaunty and rosy-cheeked. It's one of my favorite male names!I also really like Anselma's graceful gravity. I pronounce it "ann-SEL-ma."

Anselma sounds clunky to me. I put the stress on the second syllable. I prefer Anselma to just Selma, though.I really like Anselm. It's a handsome name.

I don't really care for either of them, they feel a bit stuffy to me. Selma is a bit better, but it's still not among my favourites. I pronounce Anselma un-SELL-ma.
